man i just hit a tipping point in this game where i finally learned a majority of key shortcuts (still lots to learn, but i know enough now) and my success rate is now firmly in my control. i'm sure a lot of other ppl reached this sooner but i didnt do all my time trial work at the start i kinda waited. feels like i'm macrodosing on mushrooms now and seeing all angles when i play

How much is the Kirby expansion? That would be my only consideration for August. I loved the original game.

I’m debating Kirby but never played it on S1, I think it’s meant to be a good platformer

Thats the most annoying part of the update. The tracks are where the cool shortcuts are utilized. It reminded me a lot of Crash Team Racing. Except you only get to race on one lap at the end.

yea i hope they fix it. right now after the latest update, worldwide races are about 80% intermissions and 20% regular tracks. i would love to see it be 70% tracks and 30% intermissions, or dedicated modes. that said, i still enjoy the worldwides as-is.

and you can play track mode via friend rooms from discord so that mode is available with that admittedly annoying workaround. but its not like its impossible.

mechanically this might be the goat mario kart. overall i still consider MK8 to be better but just in terms of the racing, man this is crisp. i am addicted

$20 for the expansion

$80 for Switch 2 physical. I never bought it but I think ima cop that version. Will also run at 60FPS

I’ve heard nothing but incredible things about it. I’ve heard it’s easy (it’s Kirby duh lol) but I’ve heard it’s some of the most creative platformers ever. I’m excited to finally play it at the end of the month
