But I also wouldn't buy a 2D Mario collection either
I would

Mario maker 3 where you can build full games instead
mouse controls will go crazy
Wii coming to nso expansion pass next year, with galaxy 2 and twilight princess
I need a physical copy of Galaxy 2 in Switch man. Don’t wanna have to pay a subscription service for it smh
this 3 pack would be solid if it comes true tbh.
galaxy 2 should be added to super mario 3d all stars as a paid DLC or you can buy the whole 4-pack if you didnt get it last time
maybe they'll do both of these things for the 40th
idk seems like a lame collection. I mean I’d probably buy it lol but it’s not exciting like how 3D All Stars was

If Mario Maker 3 had it where you can make levels in the Wonder or 64 style would go so hard and sell CRAZY

Yeah I agree 100%, that’s my prediction but I hope im wrong, I’d prefer like 4k remasters with a physical release. The sub model sucks

oh my god you just reminded me that 3 will probably have wonder style
3d games feels like it’d be too complex? just reminds me of dreams, that game took like a decade to make and the controls were A LOT. but man that would be mind blowing if they pull that off one day.
I’d hope a S2 Mario repack takes the S1 version and expands on it so something like:
Mario 64
Sunshine
Galaxy 1/2
NSMB Wii
NSMB DS
NSMB 2 3DS
1440p upscaled etc? Would be pretty sweet

that would be too much for one game realistically. they would split that s*** in 2 (2d and 3d)
DK Bananza is a delightful game. I'm only in world 3 so far

64gb cart could easily rock all of that - especially if it was some sort of 'Mario Deluxe All Stars' or some s***
Just think 3 old games is lame especially given how powerful the Switch 2 is

yea I hear u but youre talking about how many games can fit on a cartridge while I'm talking about what Nintendo will do in terms of business sense.
I dont expect them to give me all of those for $60/$70. we have decades of data points for how they handle this type of mutli-game re-release, dating back to Super Mario All Stars on SNES. granted there is the big variable of whether or not they upgrade the games. the SNES combo pack, and the Mario 3D All Stars pack (to a lesser degree), both had graphical improvements to the games. if it was just a straight port with no upgrades then your idea would be more practical

Oh 100% lol this is the company that put a SNES game on a Wii disc and called it a day lmao
I would
yup
buy it on as many switches as you can
they'll be worth a fortune when nintendo inevitably pulls the listing
For me this is one of the best handheld experiences I’ve ever used
They absolutely nailed the ergonomics etc

A re-release of 3D Allstars with Galaxy 2 on Switch 2 with even better graphics could be fire

Being able to make levels in Wonder graphics would be so dope. I hope they do that
Isn’t Dreams like PS4 / PS5 level graphics? I feel like a 64 graphics-level builder wouldn’t be taxing for Switch 2 hardware
games playable at Gamescom in Germany, Aug 20 - Aug 24 (I am excluding games that are already released like Bananza and MK World):
Metroid Prime 4
Pokemon Legends: ZA
Hollow Knight: Silksong
FC '26
Hades 2
Borderlands 4
Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition
Final Fantasy 7: Remake Intergrade
indie showcase on now
this one will be a classic. i think it's about choosing your seat in a restaurant or classroom or car/bus
Mina the hollower demo
Edit: its limited time, until 8/21, and switch 2 version is 120fps
ngl starting to think the switch 2 is not as powerful as nintendo led us to believe
like i already knew it wasnt gonna be like ps5 pro / series x strong but theres too many third party games releasing with big caveats way too early into its lifespan that it realistically should have no problem running lol
