are you trolling?
there’s an entire lineup of Mario merch launching tomorrow titled “My Mario”
how did they create an entire game for the 35th but forget the big 40? These things are planned years in advance man
has to be, i’m surprised they’ve put it off even this long
either that or a standard direct with Mario as like half the runtime which would be
Nothing stops them from having both

You called it!
"Tune in on September 38th @ 4:46 AM PT for a Nothingburger Direct focused mainly on nothing coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The presentation will be approximately 12 seconds long."
Everybody reporting Nintendo still isn't giving out devkits to people
The console is out man what is the hold up

I think it might actually be a strategy, as weird as that sounds
Like, they’re hoping a lack of third party content pushes people to buy more of their games in the first year (Kirby, Pokémon, Metroid, DK, etc)

A lack of solid third party will push people to ignore the system because of a tiny library lmao

Sounds like a horrible strategy

False. The Switch 2 console we just bought is the dev kit

Well that hasn’t happened yet, and obviously third party support will arrive, so it’s selling well now and will sell well then

those games would sell well even if they had good third parties out besides like metroid which already doesnt sell crazy to begin with.
theyre just not playing this right at all

I doubt that, because personally i might skip something like air riders if there were actual big 3rd party releases in November
Even legends za doesn’t quite look as good as fun as legends Arceus but I’m definitely getting it because October is dry otherwise

i mean you can say you wont personally but that game is still gonna sell well lol
any good third party this console is gonna get atm is gonna be some old s*** people already own cos once again a lot of devs still didnt get dev kits for the switch 2. cyberpunk is like the only exception cos of all the good press it got for actually being all on the cartridge and (if im not mistaken) being the best version of that game on a portable

of course it’ll sell well regardless, Im just saying it’ll sell much better with less competition. I think the strategy makes sense if I’m honest, even more so now that we’ve seen the sales numbers. If the switch 2 sales were bad this would be a disaster of an idea lol.
Cyberpunk, hollow knight, hades 2, etc will all sell well, but they don’t want too many games like that or it might cut into their sales. Eventually big waves of 3rd party support will come along with the benefits of that, but for now it makes sense not to have too many games stealing attention
I look at the Switch 2 library right now and desperately want to buy something for it but I just don't know what
I really wish I enjoyed BOTW man
Cyberpunk and Yakuza 0 were so great on here

I think I'm going to buy Hollow Knight and see what the fuss is all about
It looks like a run of the mill 2D platformer

Its a 2d soulslike with metroidvania elements. If you liked ds1 you'll like hollow knight. Its well worth its asking price, there's a lot of content

Doesn't look like my type of game unfortunately but I can see why people enjoy it
