Everything about the song is telling me “this is intended to be funny” but I’m coming away from it thinking “oh wow, the gag is that this guy is actually quite talented” – so the actual jokes don’t shine on their own

Ultimately it’s more satisfying to go into a song expecting quality, and then being surprised by the wit. Helps circumvent the “novelty act” vibe
