Dressrosa was probably my worst weekly reading experience in OP. S*** dragged so much, was so convoluted und so many characters who I really didn't care even a little a bit about, and for that half of the straw hats were missing. And law probably most overrated character in OP

I probably would've quit One Piece if I had to read/watch Dressrosa weekly, birdcage would've made me lose my f***ing mind.

Yea I will never forgive oda for putting us (especially weekly readers) through birdcage and big mom chasing the wedding cake

luckily dressrosa was done when I caught up to the manga, but reading during the whole wedding cake shenanigans was painful

Did not think he’d reveal that rocks/blackbeard are related to Davy Jones this soon lol also, I wonder how long this flashbacks gonna be. Seems like we’re about to see god valley play out and I don’t imagine it’ll be done in a few chapters. He’s dumping a LOT of s*** into this arc. I ain’t mad at it

He’s dropping a lot of lore in this flashback for sure , you can tell we’re closer to the end

and we still have whatever is going on with Brook coming up too

i love the world and lore a lot it’s short and sweet and it’s got some peak moments

Yea its a great short arc, i think everyone feels like its one of the sadder arcs since the whole crew gets low diffed and then it leads to what i think is a very slow part of the story (post saboady including impel down) where theres not much interesting action

Saboady itself is great tho

The power scaling aspect of one piece is probably my favorite. I love the lore too but what excites me is thinking about how different characters match up in battle

Egghead was dope because we saw a lot of new powers from new characters and its obvious theres still a new level of mastery that the straw hats need to become the strongest crew. Elbaph is even better in that aspect but this flashback has sorta killed a lot of the momentum for me
