Most generous explanation is that the elders and Imu are incompetent. That’s why making Rocks look like BB is extremely dumb and the reason I’ve soured on this flashback and Rocks in general. Oda went with aura instead of logic.

Nobody should be surprised, him getting Domi Reversi'ed was something people were talking about. Execution was kinda ass though tbf. Imu tanking all those attacks felt cheap.

The only thing I need now is Rocks to go out with some legendary feats e.g. He actually manages to stay in control, does some crazy Haki feat that sends Imu running scared like that Joy Boy haki release thing that Emeth did, then he loses control & asks them to end his life and we get a good few issues of them fighting, crazy attacks and we see why Roger and Garp end up with the reps they do. Need some Davy Jones lore drops while all of this is happening as well.

Was listening to Brago and he noted Sanji told Zoro to kill him if he ever loses control or gets mind controlled or something. Obv Zoro vs Sanji would be fire. He further speculated that we are seeing all of this because Imu will show up domi reversi a straw hat. Could be Zoro & Sanji who fight Luffy, but I'd rather have Luffy fight Shamrock if it goes that way. Personally I do see the logic, I think Elbalf kinda mirrors God Valley in a way too, with a giant monument that can be severely besmirched similar to the mountain.

My only concern at this point in time is if Oda will give us proper time commitment to fights at this stage. I really hope with some of the match up we should be seeing that he gives them their proper respect.
