Tbf I'm down for updated sound effects, One Piece had a lot of folly/SFX that was also used in DBZ & it felt wrong hearing them noises for the wrong moves

Although whoever replaces him better do their job with the Conqueror's Haki sound effects (hell... we need the VFX folks to do a better job of distinguish Armament & Conqueror's too tbh)

It took me a couple episodes to get used to all the post time skip appearance changes (pre timeskip Chopper oh how we miss you )

currently reading the impel down arc and this s*** is straight crack. nonstop action and lore drops galore. the previous arcs (sabaody archipelago & amazon lilly) were also fantastic.

Off topic but regarding Kidd
when Kidd resurfaces, I hope they give him a good backstory that humanises him & makes up for the 'his bounty at Sabaody was higher because he doesn't care about casualties/collateral damage to bystanders'

as we've seen with Robin (false bounty for being an Oharan Poneglyph reader), Kuma (falsely called an evil Tyrant due to taking down his island's king), Bonnie (falsely said to be attacking kids & old people because of power & being a celestial dragon's rejected child & later hostage for Kuma's servitude), hell even Luffy (OG bounty from a corrupt marine who was making bribery money from Arlong)

maybe the Captain John connection and/other lineage, hopefully we find out a justified reason for his beef with Shanks, maybe he accidentally killed Kidd's family or something, or something with betrayal

Kidd seemed kinda levelled headed during Sabaody & when he was in his partnership with Hawkins/Apoo, until Apoo's betrayal. Dude was mentally scarred by the betrayal like it had happened one too many times.

hoping we get a Red Hair Pirates flashback arc a la the Rocks Pirates/God Valley/Harald flashback, with a fairly conclusive history up until the present day a la the Kuma flashback.

Feel like with Oda really wanting to wrap this up theirs no room in the story for his flashback and we’ll never really get it , would like to be wrong tho

Thats the arc that made me love One Piece along with Amazon Lily
