finally watched One Piece: Fan Letter

I’m a first time manga reader who is currently in act three of the Wano arc. I have not watched any of the anime besides a few clips, so this was my first foray into animated One Piece, and what a monumental love letter to the franchise. the animation was breathtaking, and I love experiencing media from a commoner’s perspective. you can really feel how the Straw Hats inspire the common folk to better themselves and fulfill their potential.

Fan Letter is a strong contender for best episode in the series, love it so much
one piece is based on a true story
According to Christian theology, Satan is considered the temporary, limited "ruler" or "god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:4), influencing human philosophies, systems, and disobedience. However, this is not absolute dominion; God remains ultimately sovereign, and Satan operates only within boundaries set by God. His influence is over the current world system, not total ownership of the planet.
imu = satan
Ch. 1179
Best time for a Usopp hater like me: first he was useless during the arc, and now that he does something he can be blamed for bringing Satan himself.
Initially Oda wanted to kill Usopp in Skypiea. This arc seems to have some strong parallels to that, and I think if he were ever committed to revisiting that idea, it would be now. It would also be fitting of Usopp’s dream, to die as a great warrior of the sea in the land he always wanted to venture to.

and then Brook will really use the revive revive fruit to bring usopp back to life, but by sacrificing his own life. perhaps the fruit can only allow one reincarnated soul at a time

That could be good, but I don’t think Oda will kill Brook off until he reunites with Laboon.

I don’t wanna think about my nigga Usopp dying before meeting his father / returning to syrup village as a hero man
but I see it

Yea that would be fitting, but oda is never gonna kill anyone important and definitely no straw hat lol

We say this but a big part of holding back on character deaths in the pre time skip was to build up to the Ace’s death. Something similar ought to happen in the 2nd half of the story.

Do you have anything you can link that speaks to Oda originally planning on killing Usopp in Skypeia? First time hearing this

I looked into it and I actually can’t find evidence of it. This was just something spread around years ago, but apparently there’s not much truth to it.
