Great diss
"What's a prince to a king? He a son, nigga"
Drake killed Kendrick with this one
The OG version is most definitely NOT better than what was released
yea I don't know what the f*** they talking about tbh
What was officially released was much harder and better
Only thing the final version has on the og is the piano sample being catchier. The og washes tho, the released version severely lacks the bite and atmosphere
Everybody completely forgot about that Rick Ross song lol
Proof that just mentioning Drake doesn’t mean your song will become immensely popular
That time between Like That and Euphoria must hav been pure bliss for them Drake stans
They thought they was winning
The beef megathread literally declared Drake the winner of the beef before Euphoria dropped
The fake leak, release and the Tupac nonsense on the weak back to back follow up attempt will be regarded as a catastrophic misstep in hip hop history
Listening to this then like that back to back maaaaaan this nigga Drake went way too personal too fast
"Metro, shut your ho ass up and make some drums, nigga"
classic line
Can’t be a classic if it backfired with BBL Drizzy
Proof that just mentioning Drake doesn’t mean your song will become immensely popular
How when the Ross diss won five Grammys and went #1?
Pretty decent diss and basically a modern day Piggy Bank, going at various rappers on some Thanos type s***.
But Family Matters was still better and Taylor Made lowkey hurt the momentum of the diss.
Kendrick not responding right away did seem sorta bleak but Taylor Made dropping with its AI, repetitive ass rhymes, and Tupac's estate suing Drake started to overshadow Push Ups and not in a good way.
It's funny, too, how people initially thought this was AI too when it first leaked lol.
people thinking kendrick was cooked after this and taylor made dropped is hilarious in hindsight
And no one would’ve thought this if it was during 2011-2018
Kendrick’s long absence after DAMN/The Black Panther Soundtrack due to writer’s block, etc and Mr Morale not getting the same level praise as his other albums had everybody underestimating Kendrick. including Drake and Cole.
The lack of quotables debate in recent years.
People forgot it was the same Kendrick that made GKMC.
Like how they forgot it was the same Nas that made Illmatic.
This and Taylor Made made me think it was gonna be a worthy battle.
Same. Shame he threw the towel in after Family Matters
Listening to this then like that back to back maaaaaan this nigga Drake went way too personal too fast
Nigga really jumped out the window
he ain’t have to go that disrespectful on it fr. Whitney bar aside even the contract stuff and bringing up his relationship with Top was wild
That time between Like That and Euphoria must hav been pure bliss for them Drake stans
They thought they was winning
A lot of people were fake hating on Euphoria at the time too tbh
The og version beat and cadence >>>. He was trying too hard for a hit with the released version
The og version beat and cadence >>>. He was trying too hard for a hit with the released version
OG version was better with the sample. The leak/rollout was a bit strange too, I thought the song was AI hearing a low quality snippet
A lot of people were fake hating on Euphoria at the time too tbh
They were in so much shambles that they started h**** posting
