Love Dino Crisis 1 a pivotal game for me and Dino Crisis 2 is a top 20 game for me that I played over and over as a lil kid - and Regina my og game crush lmao

They recently released DC 1 n 2 on Steam recently which gives me hope we at least get a Dino Crisis 1 Remake like the REs

Okay never mind I ended up playing it straight away anyway. Demo was only like 40 minutes long but I thought it was okay, the last part of the demo where you fight the boss is where you get a real feel for the combat system and you really get a glimpse of how fun the combat could be.

It also plays more like an arcade action game from the PS2 era rather than a souls like which I am a big fan of.

I think the game seems pretty fun tho as someone who’s never played onimusha. Just needs to be a bit more difficult aka the enemies need to be aggressive

meh, was very excited when they announced this but seems like a 6/10 you pick up two or three years down the line when you got nothing to play.

combat is like a slower, casualized sekiro by way of batman arkham. animation work is actually pretty good and there's some cool environmental combat interactions but its very slow and quite easy, even on the combat-focused difficulty, might be the tutorial area the demo is set in though. doesnt seem to have armor/weapon switching so no build variety.

cant say much about the story, strikes me as your standard samurai fare but at least it has more of a comedic slant with Musashi being a bit of a goofball.

also what the f*** is up with the visuals of this game? they have all these megapixel quality assets but the whole screen is caked in this gray melange, it doesnt work as a moodsetter, just looks like crap. interiors, exteriors all look the same. you'd think at least these crazy demonic enemies would bring a bit of contrast to the whole look but nah, they're also grey blobs.

feels to me like they wanted to do a soulslike and remembered they have this dormant ip and busted it out for nostalgia bait.
