Nwts and clb are artistically on different planets. One discovered a nice formula and sound in rap, the other tried to emulate that same formula and sound & fell flat.

This is why kanye is so divisive. He switches up his sound every time, but still keeps little bits and pieces from those last albums that you can recall and connect to. It makes it interesting, even if it’s not always classic.

the thing about drake is that he DOES "evolve", but he always just dips his toe in the water instead of going all in

like why not make an entire album with an n 2 deep type sound. or a focused carribean inspired album. or an album that consistently has bars like "is there more" rather than 2 hours of stripper/opp talk

He don't need to evolve or change up his style. His same ol recipe can go for so long as people keep listening. If it's not broken, don't fix it
