Yeah this real
Its not real at all, what do you want critics to do? Suck d*** in hopes that bad artists get less bad? The artist’s label pays these outlets to write the clickbait you’re complaining about
tryna find the interview but Gambino said somewhere that the reviewer lived like down the street from him and was just a hating ass nigga
camp isn’t good but that reviewer is a lame
"R&B hooks so garish and impersonal they make Lupe Fiasco's Lasers sound dignified."
Thats was hard
Thank God they apologize
Idgaf all I know is Bonfire still GOES 10 years later, hard ass beat, Bino spazzed
“I got a girl on my arm, dude show some respect, something crazy and Asian, Virginia Tech”
Wait WTF?? Did Gambino get s*** on more for this line, that is really disrespectful
You should cancel him on Twitter
here we go
“That was the worst part of that Pitchfork thing. I know people are going to trash the music, I see them doing that s*** and I see where they're coming from. There's s*** on Camp where if I saw it as a kid, I would say that that s*** is corny. And I'm willing to take that. But the s*** that I didn't like about that Pitchfork article and that really made me mad is that the writer—and I know this nigga too because he lives on my block. F*** that nigga. He's afraid of me, and that's something he's gotta deal with. But the thing that I didn't like in that review was that he said, "Oh, well Jay Z and Beyonce go to a Grizzly Bear concert—there's no problem. This kid that is on Camp, he doesn't exist anymore, because there's people like Tyler the Creator etc." and I'm like, "Fuck you. You don't know. You didn't grow up like me.” That's the thing. You don't get to tell me that racism is over. That's the one thing that bothered me most about that.“
F***ing pathetic how music media outlets will write borderline hit pieces like this and then use his name for clicks years later when he becomes a household name. They did the same thing with Mac with that Blue Slide Park review. F*** Pitchfork and everyone who loves them.
Are they suppose to stop reporting on them after reviewing the project they hated?

He gotta point
I feel like you guys hugely miss the point of critics & criticism while also taking it way too serious lmao
A lot of the raps haven't aged well but the beats are all still great
Yeah niggas can s*** on everything about this album except the production even though it was lowkey poor mans Kanye type production it’s still pretty good.
There’s criticism and there’s “reviews” like this
Nothing wrong with scoring it low but the guy was writing with so much venom you’d think Donald f***ed his wife
wasn’t really referring to this. this was what it was. when you see 1.6, you had better expect some venom to back it up.
itt and many others there’s general hate for artistic criticism of any kind.
(btw I don’t think this review crossed any line. there’s nothing personal about donald that donald didn’t bring up himself on the album. the critic is just v clear that he hates the album and thinks childish gambino hasn’t proven himself a worthy artist.)
He gotta point
He does. But album was trash. Free range for Pitchfork to critique it. That was pre Conde Nast and back when their mgmt actually had balls
Have they ever given a score this low?
Yeah they gave something like a 0. something
I loved this album at the time but man you really can't defend it. Pitchfork was hating tho they could've easily given it a 3 or 4
