ray of light· editeda group like p****cat dolls would never exist today because they didn't make the songs themselves and that seems unacceptable now. they were just a burlesque dance group that became a girl group, and their jobs were dancing and looking pretty while nicole served vocals.
but now pop stars need to be relatable (usually making loser girl music), write (even when they are not very good at this), be women (because most of fans are other women and gay men), and not be great singers or dancers (because that's not relatable). and now we have gracie abrams.
