I think its cap they knew or it was leaked to them.
Kendrick never made any rebuttals to much of what was said, nor tried to get ahead of things that could be said about him.
Drake made a mistake in thinking it was about the bars and that it didnt matter that he had rebuttals. Tried getting ahead of what Kendrick was gonna say etc in his songs.
They made sure to not make it about the bars or the sport side of the battle at all. Because they knew they wasnt gonna win that way.
Hence they had moved strategic and made up a plan in advance long before it happened.

I used to get mad how people would miss obvious subs at someone and reply with it could be anybody. Thats not the case with Drake
