those countries joined EU and NATO on their own, just like Sweden and Finland can choose to join on their own, just like Switzerland and Norway can choose to join EU on their own. Just like UK was allowed to leave the EU on their own. Europe is not USA.
You are entirely missing my point. Not rehabilitating the Russian economy and helping them recover from the post Soviet depression is exactly what caused the situation that were in and it’s specifically the fault of NATO.
I’m not saying what Russia is doing now is good or justified. I’m saying that it’s the conclusion of years of s***ty actions being perpetrated by Western Europe who was too busy on their high horse after the war
