A large part of why people hate war is because there are always civilian casualties. Ukraine just enforced a military draft too, so a good portion of their forces were civilians less than 24 hours ago
Well duh we should be anti-war but it’s important to examine and highlight the actual material causes of this war
Folks ITT would justify an invasion of a US city because there are Nazis in the US
Backwards asf
The nazi s*** isn't relevant at the moment for what Putin is doing, but it's a warning sign to what is coming with these groups in the country after this war is over.
Yeah it's clearly just a tactic trying to give some form of moral superiority to a clearly immoral invasion.
Now the USA will arm Ukrainian Nazis (that users ITT are caping for) once Zelensky gets toppled to form a guerilla war against whatever new government they form in Ukraine
Where did we see that...hmm...

Lol damn

I would allow them to blow up harrison, arkansas for this.
I understand, but some people may wrongly take it as support of the invasion going on or consider it's not really the time to talk about things like that
It's not even the only country in Eastern Europe that had Nazis in it, Romania WAS a Nazi state for a few years(obv not the choice of their people but still)
It's never the wrong time to talk about Nazi's
There's a been surge in white nationalism and the far right across all of Europe and Ukraine is no exception
“Post-Maidan Ukraine is the world’s only nation to have a neo-Nazi formation in its armed forces". No excuses for this, you don't need to cozy up to Nazi's to defend yourself
idk if this was posted here yet but
Raptv?
When did I say that? I don't support Russia
I'm acknowledging the very real Nazi/far-right presence in Ukraine, something which Eurocacs vehemently deny

Thats how I know these people dont follow geopolitics like that
Don’t think its fair to say that the Ukrainian government is “literally” run by Nazi’s, but there is a serious ultra nationalist/far-right/neo-Nazi presence in Ukraine that's being disingenuously overlooked by most liberals. This isn’t “Russian propaganda”, Western media outlets have frequently criticized Ukraine for this in years prior.
Excerpt from the Nation: “Post-Maidan Ukraine is the world’s only nation to have a neo-Nazi formation in its armed forces. The Azov Battalion was initially formed out of the neo-Nazi gang Patriot of Ukraine. Andriy Biletsky, the gang’s leader who became Azov’s commander, once wrote that Ukraine’s mission is to “lead the White Races of the world in a final crusade…against the Semite-led Untermenschen.” Biletsky is now a deputy in Ukraine’s parliament.”
Human Right Watch: “Since the beginning of 2018, members of radical groups such as C14, Right Sector, Traditsii i Poryadok (Traditions and Order), Karpatska Sich and others have carried out at least two dozen violent attacks, threats, or instances of intimidation in Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Uzhgorod, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and other Ukrainian cities. Law enforcement authorities have rarely opened investigations. In the cases in which they did, there is no indication that authorities took effective investigative measures to identify the attackers, even in cases in which the assailants publicly claimed responsibility on social media”.
Ukraine introduced a National Holiday to commemorate Nazi collaborater and war criminal Stepan Bandera. There is an entire Wikipedia section dedicated to monuments of this guy in Ukraine and there's plenty of streets in his name as well. Here he is being honoured by thousands of nationalists:

They also celebrate the Ukranian Insrugent Army (UPA), a genocidal far right military group that committed ethnic cleansing against tens of thousands of Polish people during WW2.
Far right vigilants have attacked Jewish people, women's marches, LGBTQ activists, and have burnt down Romani camps then chased their children down with axes. Here’s some footage of them in the aftermath begging for police to help:
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxjRkeJvdpkEvery year, there's a neo-Nazi metal concert hosted in Ukraine called Asgardsrei, where Nazi scum from all over Europe flock to so they can openly tout Nazi flags, symbols, salutes, etc., this s*** is so crazy.
According to a report from Israel (lol), there were more anti-Semitic attacks (130+) in Ukraine in 2017 than in all other former USSR countries combined.
The normal reaction from any respectable government would be to harshly condemn/combat/ostracize these Nazi f***s. Instead, the Ukrainian government has embraced them, and has integrated some of them into their military and political body; most famous is the Azov Battalion's integration into Ukraine's National Guard. That’s not all though: here’s a good piece from 2014 describing some Nazis and ultra nationalists who have been integrated into Ukraine's political body following Euromaidan.
Ukraine can defend itself while also condemning Nazism, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. I still think Russia’s in the wrong in this scenario and don’t support them. But sending tens of millions of dollars in weapons/military aid to Ukraine, when it could very well end up in the hands of far right nationalists and neo-Nazi’s is risky business to say the least. People should definitely be aware of who this aid might be going to, and for f***s sake, liberals need to stop making excuses for Nazism.
This all cool information forreal but again I just wanna say I was not referring to all Ukrainians as Neo-Nazis, I was very specifically talking about the ones who are loud and proud Neo-Nazis with their hate towards Muslims and Jewish citizens and immigrants in the Ukraine. Wondering why it is wrong to call those specific people Neo-Nazis.
Don't know how this got so misconstrued despite me clearly stating that.
Actually now that I think about it wasn’t the Vietcong just south Vietnamese resistance fighters who aligned with the north?
