This whole match announcement just shows that Rampage needs to not have so many things crammed. This could of been easily avoided had they ended the show with Punk and then announce the battle royale. It seems like AEWs biggest weakness is laying/formatting out a show.

Regardless, MJF is gonna be interim champ by All Out imo, and if he is by the time Punk comes back, he’s gonna go over Punk too to unify the belts to a sea of boo’s.lmao

I’d have MJF win the title and then because he’s so angry that he’s interim champ and Punk still has the real title film a segment where MJF attacks Punk on his doorstep and then gets even more furious that Tony won’t strip Punk despite being even more hurt and then have Punk come back and make the unification match a full blown blood feud.

If it’s just an interim champion, then they could take some real risks tbh. Put the belt on Wardlow maybe and then continue the feud with MJF

I don’t mind Cole. I just think NXT did a better job at booking him than AEW does. Also AEW is very heavy with much better talent imo. Cole started to bore me when they hit their ceiling with Undisputed Era.

Tbh I wouldn’t mind Malakai getting the Interm belt, it gives Punk an actual villain to defeat while not messing with other groups or storylines.

A Cole/MJF feud would be great on that premise.

I think it’s more a case of Cole ran out this current iteration’s time in NXT and his shtick has gotten old by the time he got to AEW.

He hasn’t evolved as a wrestler or a character since 2017.

Again, I know many people like this in real life. Just because WWE does it, doesn’t mean everything in pro wrestling needs to follow that same formula. It’s crazy how melted peoples brain got in 20 years with no viable options.
