i thought blood and guts was the perfect climax for what they’ve been building the entire year. the story they told and foreshadowed were tremendous along with great, brutal spots. easily the best war games match in 30 years.

stating the obvious, but they have something special with eddie. idk how well he connects with the average viewer and frankly, i’m not sure that matters because he has something special with this audience. there’s plenty of story to tell with him and jericho, danielson and claudio that i think tony can hold off his big new york moment until next year.

if they’re gonna strap mjf at some point in the next 8 months, there’s no better guy to beat him than eddie.
