I beat it, and overall I thought it was a great game. The performance was solid, the voice acting and dialogue were good, and the combat felt enjoyable.
That said, the boss battles were underwhelming and basic, the villain wasn’t developed enough, and the graphics didn’t impress me even maxed out. Maybe a future path tracing update could change that. The mid2late game also needed more unique mission design, because it started to feel like repeated waves of enemies.
Overall, for the next game, I think they need to choose a stronger direction, either fully lean into stealth and espionage, or commit more to being an action heavy Bond game. Right now, it feels like it’s caught somewhere in the middle..not a bad thing, more freedom but definitely improve stealth.
I’d give it an 8/10

Stealth works great imo besides for not being able to drag bodies. Not quiet Hitman level but it’s fine.
As someone with 1200+ hours in WOA, I wish they had not reused so many assets in this.
Enjoying it though.
Haven’t played First Light yet but also have tons of hours in WOA…I’m curious what assets being reused do you notice the most?
this game feels like what ubisoft should have done with the animus real life stuff
biggest complaints
this lived up to the hype for me tho. hope the next game has some variation of a classic villain
So this game has been in development for 7 years and did cost 200M to make which makes it the most expensive game made in Denmark so far!
Just dumped 7h into this in one sitting immediately after DLing
lemme go talk to my family
Are the Hitman games better than this?
i'd say so, but i guess it depends what you mean by "better". the hitman games are packed with content and each level has so many different permutations that you could easily play the same level like a dozen or more times and still see new stuff. there's also a rougelike mode that makes the game basically infinitely replayable. they aren't action/combat focused like 007 and the narrative isn't near the same level. hitman is more about the sandbox, stealth and experimentation
Just finished the Vietnam mission, and I’m a little confused.
Is there a second Damien boss fight? I got to the headlights portion of the fight, stunned him once, got a few hits in and threw a weapon at him. His health went down to like 75% full, and then it triggered the cutscene where he dies and I got the “Defeat Damien Webb” achievement. Surely that wasn’t the whole fight right?

Yeah he isn't dead
Yeah he isn't dead
Gotchu
Good to know, I thought my game glitched out or something
I know they said they plan on doing updates to TacSim, but I’m curious what that’ll entail.
Just new escalations/objectives, or will they also drop new maps as well?
Also, will there be story DLC?

World of Assassination sounds amazing and it's cheap on PSN right now
But I feel like it'll be even cheaper one day, probably won't end up playing it a few years from now anyway so I can wait
