Part 2 is insane, idk where to start but Jia Mu is evil incarnate, that scene of the Kong Family massacre is sickening as f\*\*\*. The bird monster devouring the baby and then bursting out Sihuis womb is WILD. Also the f\*\*\*ing Elders witnessing all this through Hong Lu's eye like they are watching some Twitch stream is some dystopian ass s\*\*\* man "Did you see the contortion of the mother's face when she saw the creature burst from her womb? Madness took her swiftly" they discussing it like it's a weekly TV show lmao. Can't believe how dense this Canto has been and we are only on part 2

So many fights in Canto VII... I just want to read the story

I ended up getting lucky and got Maofaust; she is really broken. I stopped at section 2 in S5, came back with Maofaust and easily handled the remaining sections. I doubt they can make seasonal hong lu even more busted, maybe just on par with her might be enough

Everything I've seen has said she's turbo busted I'm gonna wait for next week to dispense her. Pretty excited so I can work on a rupture team, especially with her on it.

For the Hong Lu ID, is there a pattern or anything that we'll know what effect he is (like with it being rupture season right now) or is it "random"?

Safe bet is assuming its going to be rupture since that’s the status of this season. A lot of people are theorising that he’s going to be based on a certain character that appeared during this Canto (can’t really say any further cause of spoilers)

Also do you have any of the other mao ids? She works really well with them (especially Outis)

Sounds good. That was more or less what I was expecting. No Outis (really should dispense a good ID for her because I don't have much rn lol), but I do have Ryoshu and Cinq Meursault, but that's more of a general rupture ID.

Not having maoutis does hurt a little since the mao ids are really good at maintaining rupture count but at least you have maoshu.

Cinqsault is pretty good for rupture too because his 15/3 condition doesn’t drain rupture count

There’s probably going to be 1 more (maybe 2?) rupture id this season (hong lu) so you have options anyway

Also, you’re probably going to get talisman sinclair randomly at some point and he is worth keeping in the bench because his support passive is insanely broken for rupture

Deserved, faust is extremely broken. I was already convinced they did almost 0 QA on her because of the Canto 8 schedule before the announcement

Only been playing for like 2 months but it was very obvious that rupture is entirely balanced around the existence of Talisman Sincair which is why you have s*** like 15/3 conditionals.

Balance is long overdue for talisman but at least they did it instead of continuously applying band aids

I’m surprised they’ve nerfed IDs, mainly because it’s a gacha. Makes sense with how cracked she is, but for as long as I’ve played these games, very very rarely have I seen a nerf

They made a follow up announcement that says you will get a full lunacy refund if you pulled before that announcement

Initially full lunacy refund wasn't included, but now it is.

ZiluFaust and TaliSinclair are the only nerfs other than RingSang from a couple seasons ago

I don't believe this is the first time that Project Moon have caved to criticism either IIRC? Kind of sets a bad precedence because this definetely isn't going to be the last time that something like this happens (They are a small team and it looks like they struggle with scheduling/the live service aspect of the game) and any change they want to make in the future is more open to them being bullied because players know PM folds easy like a chair
