Tbh I havent tried melodrama but I did try black tar under a bridge in San Francisco when I was 19. I took a hit and the dude who gave it to me asked me if I wanted to “play” with myself. Weird guy but nice to give me free s***, idk how pure it was though

Not an unpopular opinion at all,

PH is definitely built off angst but that doesn’t mean it’s therefore any worse, the songs are strong and aside from 1 mybe 2, it’s skipless and is personally in my top 10 albums of the 10’s

If it’s angst that makes it bad, i’d point you towards Goblin which is built off angst but doesnt have the songs that PH does.

Melodrama is okay, definitely a “bigger” album in terms of sound, but songs like Green Light just feel too bland and something you could have seen on a katy perry album. But Liability is an example of where going “bigger” actually pays off.

SP singles are so bad i never played the whole thing through.
