whereas i imagine bigxthaplug who is most likely an industry plant probably has a much higher ratio of country music to hip hop
I’m assuming this is either the first time you heard of bruh or you’ve only heard those country collabs. Would take you less than 10 minutes to go and research and hear that most of his catalogue is actually hip hop.
Also you niggas have lost the plot when it comes to calling out “industry plants”

BigXthaPlug is an independent artist with one of the top streaming songs (that is purely hiphop as he is a hiphop artist) on Spotify since 2023 and only has 3 country features all in the last 6 months…2 of them being his song and one on Shaboozey’s album, his homie.

been following this nigga music since 2022. him and rosoma cold af, they need a collab tape imo
recently saw him at dreamville fest. my only critique of him is that a lot of his s*** sounds the same (a sample, long verses, the sample is the hook, another verse and some ad-libs in between). it was like this for every song in his 30 minute set
if he could experiment more, i think he’ll be around for some time

like its his bread and butter and it has obviously worked. the crowd was rockin the whole set
but it was so redundant lol i told my girl to pay attention and by the end she was like “yeah, he relies on samples heavy”
i dont think it’ll hurt him right now cause he’s still relatively building his brand but by 2026/2027, people are gonna wanna hear if he can step out his comfort zone. would like to see him do a mixtape or sumn where he’s hoppin on others beats and just flowing. idk, doesnt have to be sumn insanely creative, just different for him
