  • i used random in the title because i want to avoid the boring ones, like i really don't care what outrageous kanye quote made you stop listening to him, unless it's something funny like when he said George Bush doesn't care about Black people

    anyways

Sematary: There was this interview where the interviewer kept asking about his influences, suggesting names like Chief Keef and Black Kray, and Sematary exclusively emphasized Yung Lean, repeatedly. i loathe being a wokescold but something smelled off, and not just him

Brockhampton: I had a fond spot for Brockhampton long after public opinion had turned on them, but then I saw an interview about how when they'd moved in together they found the neighborhood they were in so scary that they wouldn't film videos outside. i don't remember all the details but that was too soft for me.

Lucki: i saw the DM leak he was talking to prostitutes. up until then i'd been a major lucki fan for years. but now i'm not sure anymore, because i can't stop thinking his lyrics are about prostitutes now. like if you're upset she's not doing what you want just pay her more

I listened to Slums a lot in 2018/19 then i saw a post online pointing out that you could just listen to people actually rap hard over soul samples like 21 savage and j cole recently had on a lot and i never listened to slums again

im hesitant to say it because it may derail the thread but i'm half convinced this stuff comes out about baby to hide gay rumors.

either way i feel bad for baby here as there are private interactions i've had with women that if they were made public would be a little embarrassing. i think most people could say the same.

  • Another one: Hearing Future asked a girl to give him a watch back. that was lame af behavior. does he give women an itemized bill of all the gifts he gave her after they break up?

like it goes against his brand and i didn't think he had a particularly hard brand to upkeep beyond (maybe) cosplaying as a d*** addict

i hate kenny beats for ruining vince staples and contributing to the reddit-ification of alt rap. i do appreciate his work with Key and Rico tho. but the "vibes" around him increasingly pmo. mad respect for hurting his feelings.

i've never had a "don't meet your heroes" experience but i spent the last few years hanging out with a lot of artists and i don't like their vibe. don't want to go into it but it turned me off to a lot of the fan aspects of music culture.

i also was fw this rich guy's girl. he lived a lot like i think a rapper like Rick Ross does and it did hurt my image of the lifestyle he aspires to.

i love drake but honestly it was bad pre-beef too, just easier to tune out. drake is kind of like Ken in Barbie to me.

he never had aura but the switch over to his full name when he produced for geese

was a business move for sure not gonna say an artist can’t pivot

    still kinda give him
the side eye for it tho

Always thought he was lame as s*** to begin with, essentially trap lore ross or yadiiig but actually contributed music instead of just gossip. You’re a real one for beefing with him 😂

Link to the page when your beef started?
All I know is that he made ASAP RCKY fold immediately after that goofball talked so much s*** in his absence lol
