id rather take time to reflect and internalize each word /paragraph im reading than pretend i have photographic memory

one of my brothers reads like this and while it's impressive and useful often I find myself giving different characters different voices in my head and really lingering in the book and feeling enveloped by the story because I read rather slowly. and I still read plenty of books. hit two dozen last year.
