DONDA underperformed because ye pushed it back multiple times and wouldn’t drop until forced
If he can do a tight album with a concrete release date, finished material, and memorable production value, we could see 250+
That and mainly the manson/dababy s***. I knew tons of people (women mainly who make up for lots of sales) that boycotted Ye cause of that. If Kanye finished up the album right after LP2 I think he would have done huge #s though
They were pretty cool.
But the Steve Lacy & London fashion week snippets are what got me hyped.
"Pussy like a Stephen 3, straight water"
tbh we may not ever see the James Blake ones any way considering what happened.

Yeah, which sucks.
But I'm happy we're getting finished (non-mumble) verses.

Absolutely. What direction would you like him to take for this album? Are you hoping for real aggresuve Yeezus vibes or do you want more emotional CD soul stuff? Just curious
When you think about ye’s eras are based on the woman he with cause he always with one.
Amber era was obviously amazing, Kim era was mostly good, Bianca era bout to be Goat

I think he's gonna' be talking his s*** & be exposing mofo's.
"Yeezus" esque subject manner with a s*** ton of soul chops & hard hitting 808s.
Idk if the dude who leaked the info back tracked & said he was capping to save his ass.
Cause he's a reliable source, but based off the two snippets, it sounds like he's trying to get back to that 2004-2013 feel.
I don't want to jump the gun just yet. Cause it could go waaaay left.
But I haven't been this excited for a Ye project since Pablo.
I think he'll cater to the masses since he f***ed up big time & this will be another "apology" album in a since of how good the music is.
But he's gonna' be talking craaaazy on here I feel.

great post this lowkey got me hype & was very insightful. Ty
it’s amazing that ye almost a year ago said he loves hitler/nazis and was hanging around with overt white nationalists and we’ve just welcomed him back with open arms
we’re so cooked man
i mean if he drops im gonna listen to it but im a lot less interested in anything he has to say at this point
in my headcanon donda was the last album and everything else is DLC
🥷
A post 2013 Kanye release with a concrete release date and finished material? :jordanlaff3:
so how is it going #1 on billboard and viral on tiktok if no one is listening?
ask russ
i wonder who he’s gonna speak out against as promo for the album
he’s already checked off so many boxes, probably gonna go on a homophobic/transphobic rant pretty soon if he does have an album otw
Disabled people next up
I didn't know yesjulz was still in ye's camp
just realized short hair yesjulz looks exactly like his wife
Cudi so cute
I mean there's been a bunch of odds and ends pointing toward a ye album by year's end, so that's not really insano news or anything if it turns out to be true.
However I don't see how any of this relates to Cudi delaying his album and mentioning ye as a fashion influence? Doesn't seem like anything has changed on that front, I still feel like it's safe to say the bridges are burned and we won't see those two together again at this rate, at least not creatively.
In like 20 years time there'll be one of those dusty on-stage reunion type moments at the Grammys or some s*** probably.
