wonder how much of the fast tracking has to do w china negotiations or if he jus genuinely likes the franchise lol. also the subtle heat bubbling under tucker's name in association w epstein

already spelled out the blueprint for this itt but seems like jackie had a hit this year with the shadow's edge so domestic interest is def still there. maybe give tucker writing cred and let him improv to retain the og comedic feel

"too late" is a lazy foregone conclusion atp but also just perpetuates an ageist lack of imagination in a decade where bad boys sequels outperformed at the box office and audiences obviously want more from the franchise

The whole buddy cop leads are now veterans and they have to train a crew of younger cops where they clash on old ways vs new tech until the end when they realize they there’s a lot they can learn from each other just isn’t an interesting direction for this franchise to take and that’s what most legacy sequels do
