For what its worth, I completely forgot Jackie did that odd Karate Kid movie recently which merged the two iterations and followed up Cobra Kai. Pretty sure it performed solid too. That's still just an action flick tho
They're pretty much relying on us + older gen to show up for this. I do hope there is some come back for the genre theatrically, it just can't possibly stem from the elderly doing a reboot film after 2 decades.
True, that’s a special case tho cuz both the old Chan movie was big as was the Libra Kai show (was pretty bad towards the end but very popular) so it was a sequel based at least partially on recent material
praying they can bounce back from rh3 which has its moments but wasnt at all close to the first two
There’s some revisionist history now because of that ONE funny scene that used to go viral all the time but Rush Hour 3 was largely seen as a disappointment at the time
They both old men. Neither should still be street detectives in their careers.
Would need to be them on vacation at an all expenses paid resort overseas or something ain’t no way either of them still working as detectives lmaooo
So if I’m understanding this correctly, trump is friends with rartner so he’s doing him a favor by helping to release rh4? & because he’s also doing his wife’s documentary as a bonus?
& if trump is also doing this to help make rather look better after the SA stuff years back, I don’t think releasing this will do that.
Damn this story was a whole lot more fun when I thought Trump just loved the Rush Hour movies and was doing exactly what I would do as president
Do we know if Jackie is even on board with this? Why would he risk his reputation by working with Ratner again at this point
i aint thanking trump for s***, he in the negatives in terms of earning any kind of thanks

Movie is prob gonna be garbage too

I hate to say it, but It’s gonna come & go. They should have left it alone. F*** trump & his agenda

“Rush Hour 4,” which will see the return of original stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, will mark Ratner’s first feature film since 2014’s Dwayne Johnson-led “Hercules.”

The first Rush Hour movie was in 1998, the second in 2001 and the third in 2007. Tucker and Chan reportedly are back for Part 4.

The potential film, which would bring back now-aging stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, would be Ratner’s first narrative feature since being accused of sexual misconduct in 2017.

considering the last one had Roman Polanski in it the bar is pretty low I suppose
Chris hasn't been funny in a minute but maybe he can still tap into that with the right script
https://twitter.com/DEADLINE/status/1600861083677458434“We’re talking about part 4 right now,” he told the festival crowd, adding that he was going to meet with the film’s director this evening to discuss the script. He did not identify said director, but American filmmaker Brett Ratner directed all three previous versions.
what does trump have to do with this

They should've never brought Ratner back and gone a little darker with the franchise. Not too dark but give it a tone closer to the first Lethal Weapon, it would make sense since they're older. A new tone would also throw people off in a good way.
I can't think of a director who could pull that off tho and I'm clearly overthinking this because this is obv a cash grab/Trump's attempt at trying to have better relations with China.

Wasn't there a rumor that Tucker was in the Epstein files/flight logs too?

yeah lol he's on the flight logs. There's no way to confirm that he did anything unless the files get released but Tucker does seem kinda sketchy. It's always the weirdly religious people too. I hope I'm wrong tho.

Mfs wanted him back for Friday too and I just dont know if he got it in him anymore lol suppose the right screenplay could bring it back though
have they not been reading the news
wonder if there will be a Woody Allen or Kevin Spacey cameo
