So let’s get it straight what the facts are surrounding this:

The only source for this is a Ukrainian Telegram that has since deleted that message

Said message indicated that Russian drones were heading west “towards” Poland, not in Poland

Ukraine has previously tried to raise false flags specifically in regards to Poland

The only two major western media outlets - CNN and the Guardian - to publish articles on this have both only said no more than the above, noting zero confirmation of it

The only things the Poles have said is that their radar is “on high alert”. No mention of them detecting anything

The same OSINT accounts trying to stir this s*** up are saying drones are in Hungary, a country who is a de facto ally of Russia

So are we all just saying that Poles are too ed to run their own radar systems? Or that Russia is so ed that they would invade a NATO country (triggering article 5) while they currently have all the advantage and momentum in Ukraine, while the US mulls even stricter sanctions on them?

These are Ukrainian reports of Russian drones according to CNN. That kinda hints at whats really going on here.

Prob not that dissimilar from when Ukraine's air defense accidentally killed Polish farmers near the border a couple years ago, and Ukraine immediately begged Poland to call an Article 5 meeting before it became clear it wasn't a Russian missile. Former Polish president Duda had just said last week Ukraine had basically tried to force Poland into the war

Drones are meaningless in Poland. That's basically where the U.S army for NATO is headquartered. What will drones do?

For now, at best they're claiming that "drone-type objects" crossed into Polish airspace during an active drone strike targeted for Ukraine. They're careful to avoid calling it an attack and resisted calling them confirmed drones or that they're Russian

Reminds me when in 2022 a Ukranian drone crashed in the middle of the Croatian capital and it didn't make big news, luckily only hitting a road without cars
