Your a Shyamalan stan for f*** sake, I don't think you are allowed to judge anyone based on that crap alone.
Watch out now, he bout to hit you with a surprise twist
Watch out now, he bout to hit you with a surprise twist
Twist is that
Shyamalan is top 5 oat
So basically you wanted this movie to be exactly like The Godfather
The difference here is that The Irishman is a film told from Franks recollection and Godfather is a saga that doesn’t have a POV
I wouldn’t go that far, but as the initial post pointed out, it feels hamfisted and underdeveloped when you see how other mob films deal with the issue.

OH MY GOD
I can't believe this
Yo, I can NOT believe this
I wouldn’t go that far, but as the initial post pointed out, it feels hamfisted and underdeveloped when you see how other mob films deal with the issue.
That’s why it’s good this movie takes it differently
What you tryna say, I seen over 300 this year alone
lol your studying movies essentially, that's a totally different story... I have seen close to 200 movies this year alone myself. But, I definitely haven't been reaching that number consistently for the past years nor are those numbers expected to be reached by someone on average, unless they are doing it for a purpose.
I wouldn’t go that far, but as the initial post pointed out, it feels hamfisted and underdeveloped when you see how other mob films deal with the issue.
It’s underdeveloped because it’s from a man’s memory of a family he was mostly absent from...
Like that is the point
Your a Shyamalan stan for f*** sake, I don't think you are allowed to judge anyone based on that crap alone.
And? Shymalan is great.
That doesn’t change the fact I seen way more films outside of entry level film school/Hollywood s***
Youre knowledgeable about cinema because you log dogshit like Keeping up with the Jones or some other mid ass Hollywood movie nobody wants to watch?
idk why Bane is acting like seeing 900 movies since 2015 is something only a film student could do. That’s roughly 200+ movies a year

Are you by any means related to Shymalan somehow ? or are you Indian ?
I can't fathom how someone with even basic movie knowledge rate 3 of his s***s as perfect.
You literally have also seen more Hollywood movies so your just making a fool out of yourself just like your idol SAS always does on tv.
Idk what that Jones thing is, so please educate us on this entry-level s*** you seem so knowledgeable about.
I know absolutely no one irl who does 250 movies on average per year. So unless you got nothing else to do or are doing it for a purpose, that's just not normal.
Y’all ain’t even remotely talking about the movie anymore, go jerk ur film knowledge off somewhere else holy s***

Actually a lot of people I have seen with over 4-5k films logged, people who have actually made films, written books, etc think Shyamalan is one of the greatest filmmakers of the past 25 years.
The people who dislike Shymalan are rotten tomatoes critics aka a bunch of cringe white people who think perfection is Marvel and that anything that takes risks in genre storytelling is just flawed.
Even if you don’t like Shymalan it’s not like I ever tried to prop Shyamalan up as an example of deep cinema like you are doing with Refn and Cosmatos.
Also, I have Def logged far more films outside Hollywood than you have. I ain’t the one who has seen every studio hollywood release like you have in recent years.
And again SAS is not my idol. You have beyond s*** reading comprehension since I already told you this.

I was logging a lot more in 2015/2016 since I had more free time. I would literally see 2-3 movies a day for periods at a time during those years
I don’t think I’ve logged as much this year since I’m far busier
idk why Bane is acting like seeing 900 movies since 2015 is something only a film student could do. That’s roughly 200+ movies a year
Idk why you’re choosing to engage in this mindless back and forth with him bro, you’re doing the same s*** that you’d been doing back in the old section

So your basically rating them highly just to be like those other cool dudes, got it.
At least Refn's and Cosmatos' movies are watchable... you gotta be a special kind of person, to be able to willingly sit through a movie like After Earth.
2/3 of the movies I've watched this year are not based in Hollywood, so please do continue using that baseless claim.
I don't see why anyone would use the picture of someone they dislike as their avatar, so you are either lying or again a very special kind of person.

he a clown thats why

imagine not watching all movies at 2x speed

no im not. I literally have loved Shyamalan's movies since I was a kid and first saw Sixth Sense. Reading their reviews definitely helped me appreciate what Shymalan does as a filmmaker for sure, but I always loved his films regardless.
Also, you literally got more Hollywood s*** from 2019 logged than me. I ain't see that dogshit Refn show, that dogshit Aster movie, scary stories, childs play, toy story 4 all dat s*** lmao so that is cap
also I dont like After Earth, but Refn and Cosmatos trash is as bad as that if not even worse because of how pretentious they are.
also I already told u the SAS avy is one of irony. I don't respect him in anyway and think he a clown, but i enjoy that like I enjoy watchin Skip cuz the takes are funny, kinda like reading your s*** takes.
Ayo I had my eyes closed viewing this topic. How good is this?
Incredible top tier film, a contender for best of the year. Will haul in some oscars if the academy doesn't hold a grudge against Netflix.
