This was good, not great but I liked it

I had a really great experience watching this as the theater had close to zero people

Yep it needed more

I felt characters like Mikey and Raph were a little less descript then Donnie and Leo

Also the villains could’ve frankly been more threatening, at least the evil scientists not Superfly

Making up for Sausage Party huh?

Odd to watch this and not Spiderverse

strictly speaking on the animation/stylisation this just barely beats spiderverse for me tbh . but ofc spiderverse is the better movie overall

spiderverse2 was lowkey doing too much with that ADHD ass style

I love it but it is a lil Baby Sensory type lol with just how much is going on and all the Spider people

Mikey was great comic relief but I see the potential with Raph in this movie to grow over the sequels and flesh out the aggression and the rivalry with Leo you don’t see a lot of in this

the Leo and Raph rivalry is always really boring and played out, I like here that its just bickering and differences in approach (albeit literally less mature takes on the characters)

The lighting effect squiggles/sketch lines were distracting and forcing the stylization choice too much for me. Like okay we get it you’re trying to appeal to the novice artist Twitter/tumblr space a bit too much. Everything else about it worked

its a cool way to implement 2D animation in the environment, and adds to the grimey feel

This s*** got me quite emotional at the end and it might be cuz I drank too much and was dying to pee.

But this might be better than ATSV, genuinely spot on with music and animation, references and humour.

And the ending was spot on. As a 27 year old this made me feel like a kid again.
