Unbelievable, a second straight side episode completely away from the main plot and characters, this time just to give you some “wow isn’t Mrs cobel quirky and strange!!!” Pacing on this second season is dog s*** and that was blatant filler

Cobel is the one person she knows that may have some clue as to what's going on with Mark and how to proceed. It's an obvious desperation, last ditch effort sort of move but if it can save his life is it not the right choice? It's not like they can kill him or would even want him dead since he's vital to Cold Harbor.

Besides, not that we knew it at the time, but it very clearly was the right move from a life saving perspective since we now know that Cobel literally invented the procedure.

I have viewed Devon as one of the most logical and rational characters from the start, so I'm not buying the narrative from this thread (and social media as a whole) that the writing just fell off a cliff and they decided to make her do something completely insane and illogical for no reason
