idk. s2 finale of mr robot was def not on this level, relatively speaking

I didn’t watch Season 2 of Mr. Robot while it was airing, but I remember enjoying it a lot more than I enjoyed Season 2 of Severance overall

How so? Felt like the story that was told this season did not have to be an entire season’s worth of episodes

you don't feel much was answered?

I feel like some were answered, a few things were half answered, and some other things were either completely abandoned or dragged out to stretch the show out into later seasons

Yea this season isnt as experimental and slow as mr robots season 2 but still has that foundation building "trust the process" feeling to it.

well ngl i did not expect an answer to baby goats in this finale, let alone what MDR has been doing

s2 finale of robot we're still like wtf is whiterose's machine and who is she?

True, but one example is something like the Milchek arc. The seeds were planted the entire season to show his resentment building up towards Lumon, then in this finale he’s back to body slamming a vending machine to try and stop the Innies from revolting.

Also, some things just felt like they came out of nowhere. For instance, I truly don’t believe the Innie Mark and Helly relationship was built up enough to justify the decision Innie Mark made at the end. They barely even communicated this entire season outside of the s***scene.

The entire premise of this show seems to be the Severed workers fighting to free themselves from Lumon… and now all of a sudden the outline for Season 3 appears to be the Innies wanting to permanently stay on the Severed floor? Feels like the entire show just got flipped on its head and there was never really any legwork done to get to this place

Nah it's cuz she turned down the spot they offered her and threatened them

I think you trusted Helena a bit too much lol. She's only been manipulative the entirety we've known her. She offered Cobel a "promotion" to a "severance advisory council" that conveniently never existed. Lumon has never valued Cobel and the board has always refused to speak directly to her. Why would she be their advisor?

Then when the later meeting happens at night Helena tries to "reset" by "setting up a board meeting" and luring Harmony into a car or room to talk to them. None of that was real, Harmony realized, and you can see Helena was a bit annoyed at her leaving because the trap failed.

Maybe Cobel doesn't even know who/what the board is.

Finale and ep 7 only ones worth watching this season tbh. Could’ve condensed this entire season into 5 episodes

I dunno i think the part where Helena was impersonating helly and irving sniffing her out felt the most like season 1

Jen, who plays Devon, said they filmed Devon in the car park waiting to pick Gemma up, it just didn't end up in the episode, but she thinks Gemma did make it to Devon.
