Game is ugly as hell but kinda fun. Frontiers 2 could be an all timer if they polish the gameplay and art style

I’ve tried multiple times to finish this but I have trouble getting into it, things like the pop ins still not being fixed years later is really annoying

That being said, if they take the best of this and the best of shadow generations they could make an all timer

It got added to ps catalogue. This is a soothing game, something zen about the platforming and relaxing music. Not super exciting but I like that, it’s a cozy open-world platformer

I know this is an old post. But when the very first reveal trailer for the game was released, outside developers talked about it, and how pop-in is pretty much in the DNA of the engine. If a game has pop-in on released, chances of it getting patched out are slim.

To add to that, ppl have found that the pop-in was likely intentional.
There is a build of the game out there that was found that doesn't contain pop-in.
The common consensus is that Sonic Team likely werent able to get it to work without pop-in on the Switch. Sonic sells significantly better on Switch than it does other consoles. So Sonic Team likely made the decision to just make the popin universal so that the main version kids would be buying would be on par with other platforms
