I don't think it's a bad feature at all. I'd rather a fan get a ticket than a scalper.
Maybe it can be gamed in the future but the idea seems fine.

I’d have to imagine this is gonna be easy to exploit though. A scalper could use a spare phone to stream popular artists all the time and then get access to all the desired ticket sales before they’re even open to the public.

If this worked perfectly as intended might not be terrible but there are too many bad faith actors in the system.

I think Spotify filters streams though, that's why so many K-Pop streams aren't counted cause their fans are morons who do this same s*** with their singles.

And I feel they have been doing this already at a smaller scale and never heard of any scalper problem arising. There was some special Weeknd show (Billions Only or something was the name) that only his biggest fans got to attend to.

Spotify usually can but not with Kendrick, he has access to the latest technology/loopholes which allow him to bot streams. Drake exposed him for it already
