Solo was mid but I could still enjoy it as a Star Wars movie, probably my second least favorite Star Wars movie

Like you already had an idea as soon as the X-Wing pulled up, so they could've just not shown the craft and kept it along the lines of "an unidentified ship" imo.

And the saber color was shown way too early.... should've kept it in the black/white POV from the surveillance monitor colors until the doors actually opened so it can all hit at once.

I think they showed the saber on purpose without revealing his face so people would be like 'not 100% sure' untill u see the glimpse of the hand

Peyton Reed isn't anything special but the direction in this episode really wasn't a problem at all

Dunno why tf they were acting like they had to battle to the death or whatever. Like they could literally emulate the din/moff fight and no one would need to get hurt.

It wasnt terrible, just bland as hell (that shot of the dark trooper opening the door was dope tho)

Soon as you saw the single-gloved hand it with the green saber it was confirmed p much.

I just think the buildup of him going from landing the craft, to walking through Dark Troopers, to finally opening the doors without knowing those details would've been for a better surprise.
