I think it's not actually him, but another creature of the same species. As far as I know, he was the only creature of that species that was known in the world and presumably they just found another.

correction: actually the 3rd of the species. 2nd being Yaddle in The Phantom Menace

The episode didn’t blow me away but it’s the first episode so that’s fine. Earlier scenes were a bit shaky and some CGI later on was a bit iffy but it found its stride and the last 10 minutes were really good.
