Imagine if they made Rey a sith at the end of TLJ

Cause RoS was so ass people just wanna forget about it

Still not near as bad as GOT finale

can't believe 2019 had Star Wars, Thrones and MCU all have a big finale we worked toward for a decade and only Marvel didn't fumble it badly

RoS was worse for me since I was still riding the high off Last Jedi actually had some decent expectations for this before JJ burned it all to the ground

GoT had gone downhill long before the finale but yeah those bozos managed to top themselves somehow. 10 years and the White Walkers just f*** off after one battle I wanted an entire season's worth of Tark level frozen grimness.

That's the direction I was hoping for.

I was hoping by the end that Finn would be a Jedi, Rey would become a Sith, and Kylo would redeem himself and become good

Have a Finn and Kylo vs Rey fight reminiscent of Darth Maul vs Kenobi and Qui Gon

Personally thought there were more interesting plot points they should have gone with e.g. Rey being from a normal bloodline/parents selling her off for money, Poe growing up being a spice runner, and Finn being a child soldier. The story of these three orphans, becoming heroes of the resistance and actualizing who they dreamed of being vs what their backgrounds would dictate them becoming would've been quite powerful in terms of storytelling and messaging. Kylo being a kid with pressure/privilege of family pressure of a family name/lineage etc forced on him and making the most destructive choices possible to take control of his destiny would've been the perfect story to tell in contrast to the others and all of that would've tied in nicely with the overarching evil/empire vs good/resistance story as well. Cut a few secondary characters and tell these stories properly, maybe have 4 films instead of 3 or have a miniseries in-between the films and it would've been great.
