Ever since the ST, people have been going back to the prequels and suddenly singing their praises. Saying s*** like, "Wow the prequels actually have a good story, it's just not executed well" even though that could literally be said about almost every bad movie ever made. The prequels are the prequels. They aren't masterpieces that we've overlooked for 15-20 years, it's very obvious why opinion has changed and it has nothing to do with the actual films themselves.

And this is coming from someone who likes AOTC way more than the average person probably does.

they are man. every film in the franchise is enjoyable to a degree once you see the progression. I hated TPM when it first came out cause it it was such a change in tone but now that we have them all it’s impossible for me to watch one movie alone without binging the others
