The visuals were breathtaking for a PS4 game.
They certainly nailed the atmosphere of feudal Japan (although obviously it was a bit romanticized being a mainstream video-game product and all).
The fact that an American studio made it is a feat in itself.

maxxingAssassins Creed has some of the worst writing in any video game franchise
Tsushima actually tackled mature themes with competence, the motion capture and voice performances were fantastic, and the storytelling was genuinely moving. Assassins’s Creed doesn’t have a single impactful character arc, and the dialogue makes me cringe deep within my soul.
AC is just Ubi-slop now and there’s like 5 other franchises with better stealth

True, it did suffer from some ubi-slop problems like repetitive enemy camps and open world activities, hopefully Ghost of Yotei improves upon the gameplay quite a bit

So now that all 3 shows are over so is my top 3 shows...
1. Nintendo Direct (September 12th 2025).
2. State of Play (September 24th 2025).
3. Xbox TGS 2025 (September 25th 2025).Basically the MS one is bad besides what they showed in regards to NG 4 and FH 6.
Sony had more good things like Wolverine, Saros, the wireless speakers and the GOW 20th anniversary controller.
Nintendo had even more good stuff like the Mario Galaxy 1+2 remasters, the new Pokémon game + its DLC, the new Zelda game, new DKB DLC, a Mario tennis game, MP 4's release date trailer etc.
But yeah this month has been good for gamers tbh
