Its well made and well acted, he obviously knows how to make a movie but I don’t know all of what he’s trying to say or if it lands really
also I don’t think this is spoiling anything but if you’ve seen it, the unknown actress playing the news anchor at the end gives a riveting performance lmao
Tickets bought, taking my son, he loves sci fi
I would have loved this one as a kid, great summer blockbuster
Just got back, pretty good movie
My son funny as hell lil nigga yelled “WHAT THE HELL” when they first showed the alien USB footage and they pulled them out in that alien morgue
It was good, I enjoyed it for what it was. But it really did feel like the more interesting movie would of started with the last 30 minutes and explore humanity's reaction to it all. The movie ended right when it got really good, and I can see why people weren't fwing that. The chase wasnt really all that compelling and made uo majority of the movie only for the climax to end aburtly
b****es always wanna infiltrate on somebody else’s moment. WE DONT CARE!
Colin Furth’s character is the most infuriating when I think about it, he done all that just to sit down???
This is even funnier after having watched the movie
Lens flare galore
Over use of reflections but in an odd way like he thought he was park Chan wook
Brain dead villains
Message so Ham fisted it would be considered haram
Dialogue bonkers . He said he wrote this on his iPad and you can tell . Feels like he took Europe for first time in his life
It has a lot of material in could work with especially with real life disclosures . It has things it could say . It doesn’t get the weird as desire until the end then it cuts off
which in itself feels meta like spiel berg thinks as the audience aren’t ready for the truth so he instead gives us dumb action and nostalgia about ET and the naive hope humans would treat aliens well
exactly. too much was going on. the girlfriend of Josh O connor’s character was useless and annoying as well
She was possibly the worst character in the entire film
This was really bad and now I don't have money to see Buzz and Woody next week. Who will compensate me?

This was an a list watch if I paid 20-25$ for this alone I genuinely might have walked out gotten a refund or credit for another movie

So many things happened that just ... didn't make sense.
Dude is like 10 ft away from 30 FBI agents, and he manages to steal a car?
They were like 5 ft away from 10 FBI agents, hiding behind a rock, and no one thought to look around?
As soon as the suspense was building for the final scene, I knew it was gonna be a cliche ending. ".....Listen"
It's time for Spielberg to hang it up, respectfully. All the elements that used to make his movies exciting and fresh don't work anymore. John Williams ain't doing it anymore either. Respectfully.
