It's just a gut feeling I have based on Tyler's personality
I think (hope) Tyler would be nice about it
even with all the issues dave sometimes has with his music he at least can make those serious songs way more compelling like both sides of a smile doesn’t feel like 8 minutes but the intro to stormzy album feels like 8 years.
dave also pads out his albums with a few party anthems which links well with the theme of the album. i admire stormzy for doing an album with a consistent theme and sound in this kind of direction but it doesn’t help if the music isn’t that compslling
Agree. Wish Stormzy would do a tape w 808mwlo all drill

Stormzy statement:
When you hear about music camps, they always sound intense and somber. People saying, “We need to make an album.” “We need to make some hit records.” But this felt beautifully free. We’re all musicians, but we weren’t always doing music. Some days we played football or walked around taking pictures. And the byproduct to that was very beautiful music. Because when you marry that ethos with world-class musicians and the best producers, writers, and artists in the world, and we’re in one space, that’s a recipe for something that no one can really imagine. You can’t even calculate what that’s going to come up with. And it came up with a big chunk of this album.
