tbh I think you're right. as genius of a play as this is I think the one miscalculation was unveiling it just a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit too early. i feel like the dance should've started tuesday, announcement thursday morning, song thursday night. i'm sure it'll still go #1 though

Great question. Most in Scorpion era were 24 hours between announcement and release. I would say maybe in Oct. 2016 when Drake announced OSR on his birthday like 4-5 days in advance. We knew we were getting new music but had to wait it out.

We had to wait a few days for the Best in the World Pack as well, but in terms of a single song I can’t remember the last time we’ve had to wait this long
