While the budget won’t cost crazy . The time writers and actors it takes to drop when people want your main characters and stories dropping randomness or unfocused storytelling doesn’t help right now .

On one hand I think they’re cool projects and at this point in the life cycle of Super hero movies, someone squeezing out weird ass different takes of characters is probably a good thing

But I’m ngl Gunn needs to cut out these ‘gorilla grodd and Jimmy Olson crime show!’ ‘Amanda Waller tv show’ ‘booster gold show’ ‘paradise lost: a political Themeskyra drama’ type projects.

Idk why its considered randomness, its just stories in their universe thats not from their flagship characters. The projects for their flagship are actively being developed they're just not ready yet.

A certain amount of needle drops take me out of a movie . Where the director just like “ ha you get it you know this song “ . Unless the characters can hear it in movie too . Even then would prefer strength of score or not using licensed music to get a “ ” moment as much.

Because I feel like these offshoot weirder shows and their eventual minimal impact will drag down and sully Gunn’s whole vision and tenure. It’s like they jumped to Disney+ era of Star Wars and Marvel. The inundation of mid shows has torn through both those franchises standing with fans and audiences. And if they’re gonna do those shows, the movies have to be top tier. And although I’m hype for Supergirl and think it’ll be a fun time, it isn’t gonna do enough business or be embraced by fans enough to hold up the other weirder things Gunn wants to do.

Batman , titans , Wonder Woman we have no plan but gorilla grodd jimmy , paradise lose you want before ? Throwing s*** at the wall and seeing what sticks . They did only start like 2-3 years ago but people want to see what they planned come to fruition

There's not enough cinematic universes for this to be the framework for every cinematic universe after the mcu

Batman, titans, wonder woman do have a plan they're being developed. Wouldn't u agree they should spend more time tryna nail down the most important characters instead of just rushing to them just because thats what most people want ?
