Hulk movies in general will never be successful no matter how well made they are there’s a reason they made him a side character ever since lol
So funny to me Gunn gets all the blame but not Craig.
Yeah like we talked about a few days ago. A good director could elevate middling material but a bad/ mid range one cannot
I feel like they went cheap in that department fs beyond the cheap boring fx/ colors based off the trailers
That was all marketing, I never believed that s*** for a second
I'm just saying he probably shouldn't have said that tbh

Most super hero movie directors are director in name mostly and are doing the job by committee based on what the producers and creatives are telling them to do which is why less experienced directors tend to get these gigs

If you’re the boss you get treated like one
this is his director and his writer choices

Well I mean there's also the fact that Universal owns the distribution rights to any solo Hulk movie and Disney probably doesn't want to split profits with them
How are you guys this shocked that this movie got bad?
The trailer showed it right away. Comic Book movies are finished unless there is something original about them without dumb, stupid jokes, terrible plots and terrible villains
Looks good to me and I like Milly

Sounds good in theory when in practice you can tell peacemaker season 2 was a rushed first draft pushed out cuz he was so busy juggling other projects lol

He's the architect of the universe, comes with the territory
He's the one that pick Craig and Ana for the job, might of been a bad decision

Not my point. I’m asking how is Craig avoiding like ANY blame most places lol.

Then they finally hire auteurs and act surprised when the movie is both quality and a hit (I.e reeves Batman)

Good will from I, Tonya and somehow making Cruella a good movie in the pantheon of s***ty Disney live action remakes imo
Not saying he shouldn't, but that might be why

So that means Craig should get 0 blame as well?

Probably the main reason Reaves doesn’t wanna join the dcu and deal with all the restraints and studio notes and mandates it comes with
Ana Noguiera needs to be fired highkey. Flash now this is unacepable.
Plus shes working on TT and WW. Crazy.
If you’re the boss you get treated like one

Esp when he gave her three jobs before she even had a certified hit
I do think once again if they get a strong director for WW or TT this could be avoided next time tho
So that means Craig should get 0 blame as well?
Nah definitely not 0. Probably should get majority of the blame but I see why gunn is getting smoke too

Christina Hodson wrote Flash.
An entirely different person but related issue though because she's tapped for BTAB (if this even exists). She was also similarly trusted with several writing jobs for late-stage DCEU

Flash was Christina Hodson
Who also was in the DCU writers room...
the directors and actresses of MCU movies DO get heat when they're a minority, a woman, or openly left leaning. If their movies get bad reviews then they get attacked more than Faige
Well yeah but that’s just online loser culture, I think @NobodyWins is referring to the actual publications

Damn i got them confused
Something that I just remembered is that Gunn mentioned that Superman and Supergirl were filmed at the same time, so he never had time to visit the set or give input during production
It sounds like it could’ve been useful if he was around during production of this film
Imma watch but I dont think Supergirl was the right pick for the second outing.
If they couldnt get Batman they should ran Flash or WW imo

The idea made sense since she shows up at the end of Superman
Just seems the script wasn’t actually ready
