didn't mention it yet, but i immediately heard this song when i first pressed play on the new s***

andrew played this song during his dallas nye dj set with damon so it was fresh on my mind

one reason why i like suzy sheer a lot is cause they take from like the late 2000's era of electronic artists like chromatics/glass candy, but modernize it. songs like blissed and gthrmx kinda encapsulate this

would honestly love if he collabed with ruth from chromatics. they follow each other on insta and i feel like this is the only act who's picked up where they unfortunately left off in terms of sound

they're really like my fav band ever lowkey πŸ’”

very distinct sound that i haven't been able to fill the void with since. luckily they have a kind of discog where you can always find a random song that you've never heard and it be mindblowing lol

i know what you mean about the distinct sound. there will be other artists that may sound similar, but it's never like it - just within ballpark range.

i know that objectively it feels silly to want to fill the void when their music already exists and you can always listen to it, but i don't know, it's weird. i feel the same.

i feel the exact same way but with Crystal Castles

at least with crystal castles tho you have a much larger variety of options to choose from as their influence has been very widespread

but with chromatics and that whole IDIB sound, it's just something that doesn't even really exist in comparison to CC

and i don't even wanna diminish what crystal castles did by saying that their stuff is much easier replicable, but i just think what johnny did was just very specific and much more niche in comparison
