Yea technically Atlanta is not connected to Swarm story-wise. But think of it as a continuation of the same vibe, mood and writing style that Atlanta first created

Swarm has been described as basically being the “sister show” to Atlanta. And it has pretty much the exact same writers and directors that Atlanta had . And the tone and absurdness of it is being compared to Atlanta season 3

I feel like you will gain much more appreciation for this show if you first watch the show that laid the groundwork for Swarm to even exist

And I won’t pressure you in to watching Atlanta first, but just know it is a really easy show to binge and fall in love with. It’s worth all the hype

I do think this will be more divisive than Atlanta, but I know Donald always likes taking risks. And I hope shows like Atlanta and Swarm will inspire the new generation of black writers to take more risks and create black stories that we never get to see on the big screen
