This project was my formal introduction to Drake. I was thirteen years old, Over was playing all the time on the radio and my mom went and got the CD from Walmart. I took it from her and burned it onto my Xbox and this would be the only thing I listened to as I played. Funny thing about the CD was that it was the clean version but misprinted because Over was uncensored lmao

But yeah even though this isn’t my favorite Drake project, it’s the one that started it all for me. It is even the project that made me go deeper into Hip-Hop & R&B and made me a fan of those genres. For that this album will always hold a special place for me.

teenage me really thought Wayne was gone forever this era really established Drake imo

good times, they still going on, but man it was fun back then haha. just felt like niggas was making what they liked and shooting back creatively at disrespect
