How the f*** are we getting first trailer rumors for a movie that started filming this last weekend

I think pages are just getting excited. There is no way to know that. I've always expected a teaser late 2026, but there's no way we should be talking about it playing in theaters at this point in time lol

Its a good thing though people are just that hype

    Still no Elseworlds logo

"Elseworlds" is just a cute way to differentiate Reeves productions. There are no new "elseworld" projects outside of that in nearly 3.5 years since Gunn mentioned it. Highly doubt you're getting a DC pitch through without it being shaped for DCU anymore. They only get 2 theatrical slots a year

We had more of what you could call "Elseworlds" when they had CW, HBO Max verses, non-universe Joker films, DCAMU, Snyder cut, etc... Very little of this exists anymore

DC needs the main DC Studios tag there because its both theirs and WB's flagship film

Not exactly new info but important again to note they're calling this a "major role"

ScarJo was hyped as a big role and so is this. Don't recall them actually framing Harvey this way. We're just assuming he is because of prior knowledge of who Harvey is. For all we know currently, Harvey could be the smaller of the 3 roles.

And this is still a movie primarily about digging into Bruce Wayne's past.

Re-upping this because its still relevant. Imo, Stan's a convenient distraction they're always willing to let rumors out on because it protects the goods. Even Sneider says now his sources refuse to discuss Scarlett and Dance.

Scarlett's on a packed schedule with pretty much all leading roles and surely didn't move her schedule for light stuff here. She's very likely going to end up being the 2nd actor you market alongside Rob and put on posters. Wonder if she stays well protected even during filming

Did anyone see fans theorizing the 8:12am post?

    • Detective Comics #812: City of Crime arc - Bruce Wayne attends a gala for the Waterfront Reclamation Project intended to aid low-income residents after a disaster hit Gotham. Wayne infiltrates Crown Point exposing a vast network of corruption, human trafficking, and supernatural elements that threaten Gotham's foundation.

    • Batman #8-12: City of Owls (the exact issues of the second half of Court of Owls arc)

Obviously could also be meaningless, but that #812 is oddly specific to elements of events that are already happening in Reevesverse. It even notes Crown Point which is where Penguin took place and where the flood wiped out entire developments. Both have "City of ___" too

Feel like Reeves has been pretty intentional with tweets to at least entertain ideas

Snow on the ground on the left

  • 5 years for a sequel. Insane. Robert will be 55 old by the end if this becomes a trilogy.

Hot take. I dont want the joker in these unless it's in a 3rd one. Weve had so much joker s*** lately.

Batman has some great villains other than the joker.

I really wish someone could make a Mr freeze movie with a well written story. Idk if its possible because itd be extremely difficult to make it grounded and realistic. Maybe thats what took matt 5 years to write.
