I been seeing the complaints and while they're valid and I agree with some about things rushed at particular moments, it did feel pretty nice getting a shorter movie that did tell the full story it wanted to without sacrificing important story beats and details.
Wasn't like Captain America Brave New World where it was shorter because they cut out so much s*** and it led to awkward edits and very clear signs of last minute reshoots. I liked Brave New World for what it was, but there was definitely a much better movie at some point.
I should’ve said length as in being too short. Seen a ton of ppl wishing it was longer.
Brave new world pissed me off a lil bit, can deadass tell whole plot lines just been ripped out leaving a worst story
Would love an entire F4 movie of them in space. The chase between Excelsior and Silver Surfer was incredible.
Movie loses some steam when it gets back to Earth though
This whole argument perfectly sums up who Reed is
This is basically the only argument I ever have with my girlfriend LOL. I'm just goofy when I mean no harm, so this argument was real to me
They cleared out the entire city and the superhero smartest man in the universe hid behind a building and pulled a bait and switch with an empty baby basket.
Like, get real
Kinda hated that the plan was to hide civilians underground while a massive galactic being stomps around up top

I agree, comic Reed would have had a better solution for them
S*** so dumb lmao

Rabum alal s***
We could have had peak cinema if they would have properly adapted that. People went crazy for the basic ass Thanos plot, it would have been 5x with Illuminati avengers world and priest/swan storylines

Anthony Mackie carried because without him and how his Sam Wilson interacted with the other characters that really could've easily been the worst MCU movie ever released.
He deserved better but at least he made some chicken salad outta chicken s*** and proved that he is capable of being a leading man
No one finds it dumb that sue storm is physically stronger than galactus?
Nah cause the Invisible Woman is extremely powerful in the comics lol her being able to push Galactus with her powers is really just scratching the surface of what she's truly capable of doing. She's literally capable of just outright exploding people and things by manipulating the faintest of biophotons or "light" within the body.
Even then it's not like pushing herself to those levels don't come with risks as she killed herself after maxing herself out. Comes with a huge mental and physical toll on her.
Sue's powers are about manipulating/bending light and electromagnetic fields all throughout life/nature.
The only limit to her powers is her own lifeforce. Without that limit, she can very easily become one of the most powerful heroes in Marvel barring literal gods and something like the Phoenix Force.
She's the leader and strongest member of the FF if you don't count Franklin and potentially Valeria as they're capable of reality and time-space manipulation respectively. They're still only kids/teens so they haven't reached the full potential of their powers or full control of them.

Too much s*** to fit into movie

This would have began in 2020

She did die from it so I’ll give them that. But to me it just felt like galactus was very weak in this. He just came off has a very slow Godzilla dude, silver surfer seemed way more powerful but didn’t she get her powers from galactus so it just didn’t make sense to me.
Like the way silver surfer was so fast and phasing through everything I’m like why didn’t she just swoop down and kidnap Franklin instead of having this big ahh slow nigga galactus walk around and chase him

Cause Johnny put her through a guilt trip when she did come for Franklin lol
The Silver Surfer doesn't truly like being a herald of Galactus. It's just something she or he has to do or else Galactus will destroy them and/or their planet.
It's a symbiotic relationship they got. Surfer for the cosmic powers, Galactus needs someone to seek planets for him to devour in order to survive and maintain the balance within the cosmos.
Truly neither of them like the roles they're in and view them as curses despite the power they possess.
Highly recommend reading Silver Surfer: Black for a more in depth understanding of their roles and history. Beautiful story and the artwork is also incredible

Well the planet was about to blip, so stop the towers first then kidnap the baby. That's why they said Silver was coming after Franklin and locked down the tower.

She kills a celestial in the comics
Kinda hated that the plan was to hide civilians underground while a massive galactic being stomps around up top
Not that the plan was fool proof but they only had a month to figure something out and was using most resources to build the teleportation machines around the world
They were desperate lol
This film didn’t touch on the philosophical implications of Reed vs Galactus at all, there’s so much to explore with that especially in the film storytelling medium. They attempt to go there slightly with Sue deciding to use Franklin as bait but that’s it
I loved the tech of this world
like it’s super advanced but I feel like it was rudimentary to the tech we became so used to in the mainline MCU.
between superhero’s bringing their worlds tech back to the mainline, or just through stark tech and wakandas tech, it felt at times in the mainline that the s*** was TOO advanced.
probably a bad critique but i just have it in my head that after Endgame, the wakanda and stark tech both got out of control with how good it had gotten, and it was overshadowing the actual superpowers that are found across the universe

Real. Fantastic Four was one of the first comics I got into along with Spider-Man and Batman. This movie’s release made me realize how little people know about FF comic history
