Rap fans are too protective of the current generation. He is 1000000% right. Sorry if you love "Playboi Carti", "Youngboy" or "Yeat"
Current hip hop is worse than any other decade in rap history--by a wide margin. Game has a classic album--so thats more than 98% of these current rappers will ever put out--let him talk his s***
im a yeat enthusiast but yeah

There’s no way ur below 33
Today's gen isn't for me.
S***'s the "Tism Tune" era.
But the genre's gonna' continue to evolve.
Also, he's not looking in the right places.
Underground's been thriving with classic releases.

youngboy would rap circles around game any era
youngboy would rap circles around game any era
Tell him to drop classic albums, songs or diss records like him then
Last 5 Youngboy albums opening week numbers can fit into prime Games first week sales
and game wasn’t even top 5, hell you can argue he wasn’t even top 10 ffs! Yall current gen fans are covered in s*** and hate it when people tell you you smell bad
I hate when old niggas hate on the young niggas just because there’s no money for their old ass in the game no more lmao
Notice all the older rappers with relevance don’t speak on what the young niggas do
It's not even that. Hip Hop is genuinely ass right now
Nas is a good example for the type of rapper you wanna grow into
Game is a good example for the type of rapper you DONT wanna grow into
which is weird considering they've collab'd before
It's not even that. Hip Hop is genuinely ass right now
Been following rap for 20 years and I can't think of an era that's been less impactful on music overall in that time. End of the 2000s was a rough transition but at least by 2009-2010 there was a thriving mixtape/online scene.

There's been no generational hand off. 2009-10 was when Drake, Cole, Cudi, Wale, Kendrick, Big Sean all started to become players in the game. Then you had Meek, Rocky, Mac, etc who weren't superstar level but were extremely reputable and putting out quality.
It makes me sad because I don't know if I'm just getting old or if that was a once in a lifetime run that won't be replicated.

rns
And if we being honest, Game actually has gotten better with his craft getting older (besides red rolls white ceiling), but his lies and antics makes niggas forget about that
2026 is almost here and so far how many classics has this decade brought us?
Off the top, the only rapper I can think of who has classics this decade is Freddie Gibbs
